Meet our Tutors
Kent (KC) has been working with students at Well Street for five years. Prior to that, he was a K-8th-grade daycare teacher. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. KC tutors all elementary and middle school subjects, as well as most high school subjects.
At 6’6″, he’s Well Street’s tallest tutor. Not surprisingly, he plays basketball, but also plays guitar, piano, and ukulele. His experience with children and psychology has taught him that learning can be difficult, frustrating, and perhaps intimidating, and he works every day to ease those worries in his students and turn learning into a rewarding experience.
The newest addition to the Well Street Academic staff, Kimi has some unique cultural experiences to deliver to her students. Studying and working domestically and internationally, Kimi brings adaptability and cross-cultural awareness to her students’ lives. Kimi graduated from UCSD with a B.A. in Psychology and focus on medical studies with a Biology minor. Her experiences aboard include studying and in Rome, Italy, and teaching ESL students in Shenzhen, China. She hopes to enhance students’ self-awareness, goals and motivation as learning skills are acquired.
In her spare time, Kimi enjoys researching previously untapped subjects, teaching the Orange County public about nutrition and supplements, meeting new people, and adventuring with others on hikes.
